Update - September 9th at 10:20 p.m.

I have been out of town for the last day and a half, so I've just now had the chance to read the post from Travis earlier today. It truly brought me to tears. Thankfully, they were tears of joy. If you haven't read the latest post, you'll definitely want to read it by clicking "Bennett's Site" at the top of the right column.

As of earlier today, Bennett was taken off of the jet ventilator and put on the normal ventilator. This is a huge step in his healing. I think we all should say a prayer of thanksgiving for this significant step in Bennett's recovery. I know that I am so incredibly thankful to read the words that Travis has posted and sense his relief and joy in the latest developments. So, let's be thankful for the positive report today. If we pray in bad times, we must remember to pray in good times. So, give thanks that Bennett has improved.

With all of this being said, we must remember to continue praying for Bennett. There is still concern over seizure activity, so we need to pray that he will be shielded from any seizures in the coming days. We also need to continue praying for his complete healing, and for Travis and Kelly to be sustained during this time.

Thanks to you all for hanging in there and lifting Travis and Kelly up during the past three weeks. It is clear that they can feel your support and love and are daily encouraged by it.

Thanks also to those who have already sent photo wishes. It was so neat to see the photo book that I took to them this weekend, as it is such a tangible sign of support. I ask everyone who wants to encourage Travis and Kelly in that way to follow the instructions in the right column and send photo wishes to them this week. I will keep collecting photos through Friday and take another batch to the hospital next weekend. I'll add the new photos to the original album, so it can be a growing symbol of our love and support.

Take care, and keep praying (and paging)!
