Update - August 24th at 10 a.m.

I'm trying to get an update from the hospital as I write this, but in the meantime, I wanted to share something with you all that I find to be extremely encouraging and awe-inspiring.

There have been more than 4,000 hits to this blog, coming from more than 1,600 unique visitors in 10 countries and 282 cities.

Just so you know, I am passing statistics like this along to Travis, Kelly, and their families. Can you imagine how powerful it is to them to know that more than 1,600 people in 10 countries and 282 cities are concerned about them and praying for them?

I share this information for several reasons:

1. To let you know that your individual efforts mean something.
2. To let you know that you're a part of something that is bigger than yourself and extremely meaningful to others.
3. To try to give you a tangible sense of the strength that Travis and Kelly are drawing from your prayers and concerns.
4. To encourage you to continue posting notes on the blog and on Bennett's site.
5. To encourage you to continue praying and paging Travis and Kelly.

We're all in this together. Since doctors and nurses now expect little Bennett to be on the bypass machine for 7 - 14 days, we need to prepare ourselves to support Travis and Kelly through the long haul.

So, for those of you who have told your friends, family, and churches about little Bennett, continue to remind them of this situation during the coming days. And for those of you who have blogs of your own, continue to point visitors to this site and encourage them to pray.

We are a powerful collective. Let's continue to lift Travis, Kelly, Bennett, and the families up in prayer in hopes that we can all see little Bennett go home from the hospital.

Take care, and keep praying!

Kelly, Travis, sweet Bennett, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles,
I am continually praying for all of you. I have been in a similar situation as an aunt and I know the emotions that go with being where you are. Hang tight to God, your friends and family. They will all get you through this. You all are on my heart and mind constantly. Please know I love you and will continue to pray for healing, peace and comfort.
God is an Awesome God.
Love, Lisa G.

Travis,
I have just spoken with Mrs. Chisam. I got her on the website and she is praying. There is nothing more powerful than a praying kindergarten teacher. She loves you and your family.

Love,
Gale Taylor
