Update - August 21 at 3:45 p.m.

Below is the latest update I have. Thanks to Bonnie Abbott for sending it.

Kelly is currently being transported by ambulance to Georgetown Hospital. Kathy arrived there minutes ago and is waiting for Kelly.

The latest on Bennett is that he is heavily sedated with pneumonia and Strep B.

I learned from the FXCC office that Travis and Kelly aren't actually getting the prayer pager until later tonight or tomorrow morning. It has been going off like crazy during the past couple of hours, so thanks for your prayers. In the event that Travis and Kelly get the pager this afternoon, keep those prayers and pages coming! They need to be surrounded by our support right now.

Finally, remember to write Travis and Kelly a note if you'd like. You can post a comment to this site, to Bennett's site (linked at the top right), or to both sites. I'll be printing all of the notes out from both sites today at 6 p.m. and taking them over to Travis and Kelly.

Verse for the moment: "Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence...I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:12, 14-21

Hey, Erica...

Thanks for keeping us all posted! We are checking OFTEN so we REALLY appreciate all the posts.

Regarding the prayer pager instructions, it would be cool if you had people put in their zip code after the 1st series of beeps so that The Specks can see how widespread their support is...they've touched lives all over the U.S. Just a thought.

Thanks again! We are praying all day (and checking the blog all day too)!

Travis, Kelly and little Bennett,
We have had you on our minds and in our hearts since first hearing about Bennett's birth. Our prayers have been none stop with ever thought of you all. Thank the Lord for getting your family together in the same building, if not in the same room. That alone has to have brought you some peace, I can't even imagine your fellings while separated. Remember that "with God all things are possible". Lean on the strong arms that are surrounding you as prayers stream to the Father. We love you all so very much.

Unfortunately, the pager number didn't work for me. I am praying for you, Travis and Kelly, and little Bennett. May God hold you close to His heart, and pour His healing touch on your lives. Linda, in Abilene, TX

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
Jeremiah 29:11,12

We know God is listening to all of us as we call on him for little Bennett and all of the family.
