Travis posted updates last night and this morning, so please read them by clicking "Bennett's Site" at the top of the right column. He has also posted new photos, so make sure you take a look at those too.
We need to continue praying for Bennett's infection and bleeding. The infection is still covering his lungs, and he is now seeing increased blood in his urine. So, we need to pray for these things specifically.
As we pray for these things, we can't forget to thank God for Bennett's improvement as well. Although he is still very sick, doctors and nurses have been able to turn down the heart/lung bypass machine slightly. This is a positive sign, and the ideal outcome would be that this reduction can continue during the next few days.
I also want to remind everyone to page Travis and Kelly after your prayers for them. The instructions are in the right column. They were getting constant pages last week, and we want to make sure they feel equally supported this week (especially since Bennett isn't out of the woods). And as always, please keep posting messages to Travis, Kelly, Bennett, and the families. I've said it before, but multiple posts are welcome so that Travis and Kelly know they're in your daily thoughts. I'll be taking another set of comments today at noon.
Finally, I want to remind everyone that Travis and Kelly have requested that they have no visitors except for those assigned to bring food. Since they have limited time together in the evenings, this process is working well for them for the time being. They want to concentrate on Bennett as much as possible, so please abide by this policy until further notice. I know it's difficult to keep from showing in-person support, but let's just keep praying that there will be plenty of opportunities to show in-person support at a later time.
If I get another update during the day, I'll make sure to post it. Thanks, and keep praying!
Verse for the moment: "On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many." -2 Corinthians 1:10-11

"Blessed be the name of the Lord." We are praying for Bennett, Peter and the little girl as well as their families and the medical staff. We pray that God's power will be seen there in the NICU and that everyone's faith will be strengthened by the experience.
