Update - August 21st at 10 a.m.

I spoke with Travis this morning and also just received some additional information via e-mail. Here's the latest:

  • Travis is hoping that Kelly will be transferred to Georgetown today. Please pray that this happens.
  • Kelly had a fever during the night which made for a rough night. Her fever had broken by this morning and, according to her Kathy (her mom), she is feeling better this morning.
  • Bennett is currently stable, but he's in critical condition and on a ventilator. According to Travis, Bennett took a downturn last night but improved this morning.
  • According to doctors, the areas of most concern are his weak lungs and the potential swelling of the brain.
  • Bennett is undergoing a 3-day cooling procedure to reduce his body temperature and some of the brain swelling.
  • Bennett still has an infection. Doctors have been treating this infection with antibiotics, but according to Kathy, Bennett isn't responding to the antibiotics. This means that the infection is likely viral.

In terms of food, we should be covered for tonight and through the day tomorrow. If you can volunteer for breakfast/lunch on Thursday, any meal on Friday, or dinner on Saturday, please let me know. Thanks, everyone, and keep praying!

Verse for the moment: "I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer." - Psalm 17:6
