I don't have any updates on Bennett's status, but I did want to share with everyone the news that Travis and Kelly have received or will be receiving a laptop computer with wireless access to use during their stay in the hospital. Fairfax is providing the laptop, and I know that Travis, Kelly, and their families are grateful for it and will gain a lot from it.
Since they'll have easier access to your thoughts and well wishes, I want to encourage you to post a note to Travis, Kelly, and Bennett. Even if you posted one yesterday, feel free to post again today to let Travis and Kelly know that they are in your daily thoughts. I also want to encourage you to post notes to the grandparents and other family members who are gravely concerned about Travis, Kelly, and Bennett.
You can post a note by commenting on this site (you can click "Comments" directly under this post to write a message), or by signing the guestbook on the site Travis started (you can link to it by clicking "Bennett's Site" on the top of the right column). Feel free to leave notes on both sites...they will see them all.
I still plan on printing copies of your notes and well wishes and delivering them to Travis and Kelly in the hospital on a daily or every-other-day basis. I will print ALL comments on both Web sites, so if you've posted anything at all, it will make it to them. Hard copies will help when they can't be by the laptop, as they can read through them and draw strength from them as they face this incredible challenge.
Thanks, and keep praying!

Travis-I received this website through Laura (Hunt)Gibson, and I just want you to know you, your wife, and precious baby boy have definitely been lifted up in prayer several times today. Judging by the many comments I have read, you guys have so many people praying for you and thinking of you right now. We will continue to do so. Hang in there.
Laura (Lindsay) Peebles
Travis and Kelly:
You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. There are really know words...we are just so sorry and are thinking about you every moment. You and your little boy are loved by som many...we pray that you feel that.

Travis, Kelly & baby Bennett,
We love you guys so much, and our hearts are just full right now with concern, but mostly hope and joy at what God has already done for the three of you! We know that He will continue to bless you. We will be out of town for a few weeks, but are looking forward to giving all three of you big hugs when we get back. Hang in there!
Nelson is still praying hard, too! He's expanded his prayer -- "baby Bennett all better Amen!"
Travis and Kelly,
I have not stopped thinking of you guys. It is my prayer that the ECMO will help Bennett gain strength and you can be together at home as soon as possible. You are a precious family and I love you!

Kelly & Travis,
I love you guys so much. Even just catching a glimpse of you across the lobby in church makes me feel encouraged. Be assured that I've been setting off your prayer pager :) Can't wait til it's my turn to bring you food. Enlisting more prayer warriors...
Bennett,
I can't wait to meet you! You are truly blessed to have such wonderful parents. Rest well and heal quickly. Hugs,
Bethany
I know your family is well loved and well prayed for, but that won't stop us from praying for you guys every chance we get.
Kelly and Travis,
You are all on my mind constantly and I am hoping for a speedy recovery for your little one. I was so happy to hear Bennett was responding positively to the treatment. I sent a message to my Mom in Florida to ask her to pray for you and she has requested that her Parish members pray for you also. Please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need anything at all.
Patty Garubba
Kelly, Travis, and Bennett,
Mike and I will be praying for you all and we will add you to our prayer list at church here in Florissant. We'll also be praying for both sets of grandparents. We love you all and can't wait to meet little Bennett.
Kelly and Travis -
I just received your blog about Bennett from Amanda Pittman. I just wanted you to know that I will certainly be praying for you and specifically for healing and for strength. I cannot imagine what you have been through since sweet Bennett was born. Bless your hearts and thank you for keeping us updated.
Much love -
Kate Mott
Dear Specks,
I hate that Bennett is the sickest baby in the NICU and I beg that the strongest protector/provider in all of creation, Our LORD, who can heal Bennett instantly grant our requests. We praise and thank you Lord for all of the support that the Specks are being given at this time. We trust in your infinite wisdom and omnipresence and ask that you continue to show us all more of your goodness and faithfullness in this situation.
I sing with the psalmist who has said "Show your goodness oh LORD to those who are good and to those who are upright in heart!"
We love you,
Ingrid and Matthew
Travis, Kelly, Bennett, and Kathy,
You have been in our prayers daily. The girls and Larry have prayed all the way back to ACU for your precious little boy. We know that all things are possible through the grace and power of God. Bless all of you.
The Jeter Family
Travis and Kelly,
I just happened upon this news today through Shanta's blog and my eyes welled up with tears. I don't know you well, but knew of you both at ACU. I have been checking in on Kelly's blog from time to time - excited to hear you were expecting and anxiously awaiting the arrival of your precious baby boy. My heart is aching for you. While I believe that God WILL heal Bennett, I am still saddened that you are having to endure this hardship right now. I claim God's healing for Bennett's precious little body and for your hearts as well. I claim God's strength for Bennett and for you as you endure sleepless nights. I claim God's hope for you as you come face to face with every parents' worst fear. I claim God's deliverance. I claim His peace. I claim his comfort and protection. Regardless of how short or long it takes for him to recover, I have no doubt that Bennett has already lived up to his name...Little Blessed One. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
